Top 10 Overpaid CEOs

Here’s a list of the most overpaid CEOs in America. I think the most striking thing in this list is that Apple’s CEO makes almost 24 times as much as the CEO of Goldman Sachs. I think some of the Occupy anger needs to be redirected. Also, note the sharp drop off after Tim Cook’s (Apple) compensation. Number two on the list makes about 1/3 of what the Apple CEO makes. Apparently, there’s a 1% even within the 1%.

  1. Timothy D. Cook, Apple, Compensation: $378 million
  2. David Simon, Simon Property Group, Compensation: $137.2 million
  3. David M. Zaslav, Discovery Communications, Compensation: $52.4 million
  4. Michael S. Jeffries, Abercrombie & Fitch, Compensation: $46.6 million
  5. Rupert Murdoch, News Corporation, Compensation: $29.3 million
  6. Ian M. Cumming, Leucadia National, Compensation: $29.3 million
  7. Gregory W. Cappelli, Apollo Group, Compensation: $25.1 million
  8. Lloyd C. Blankfein, Goldman Sachs, Compensation: $16.2 million
  9. John T. Chambers, Cisco Systems, Compensation: $12.9 million
  10. Robert L. Antin, VCA Antech, Compensation: $12.1 million
