Empathy in Rats

No, rats isn’t an acronym or a code word for something humanoid but despicable. This story is actually about rats. I actually found it a while ago, but it doesn’t really fit into the scheme of my blog posts. So, I never posted it, but I really enjoyed this story. Hence this post about a scientific experiment were two rats were placed in a larger cage. One was placed in a smaller cage within the bigger cage. The rat not in the smaller cage was shown an exit, but it turned back and opened up the trapped rat’s cage so that they both could leave.

This isn’t a political post. Just a feel good story. Although, it is pretty sad that showing empathy makes the news.
